It’s Australia Day tomorrow and what better way to celebrate it than by featuring a beard playing the Australia Day at The Tote show we plugged last week. If you’re in Melbourne tomorrow head on down to The Tote to catch some quality bands. All proceeds go to the Refugee Council of Australia so support the cause and enjoy yourself some good music!

This week’s LATB belongs to the front man of Melbourne based punk rock band The Union Pacific. I’ve yet to watch these boys live but I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about them and am looking forward to catching them in the near future. Definitely in my Top 5 bands to look out for in 2012 list. If you’re into bands like Hot Water Music and The Hold Steady then you should definitely check out their stuff. Barely a year old, The Union Pacific released their Demo in August last year and are set to release a 7” in a couple of weeks.
